Curavest – AI Integration Services
AI implementation built around how the business actually works
The same practical, process-first approach as Curavest's fractional CTO service, applied specifically to identifying and implementing AI.
This is not AI for its own sake. Every recommendation starts with a specific process, not a general ambition to “use more AI”.

01
Understand
AI can be pointed at almost any process in a business. That is exactly the problem — a business rarely needs to be told that AI could technically help somewhere. It needs to know where it would actually make a measurable difference.
That starts the same way a fractional CTO engagement does: by tracing how the work actually happens, not how it is supposed to happen on paper.
That means understanding:
- Which process is actually creating the delay, cost or risk.
- How the work really happens — including the workarounds nobody wrote down.
- What information exists, where it lives, and how reliable it is.
- Who would be affected by a change, and who would need to trust it.
The output is a specific target, not a general AI ambition.
-
02
Create
Once the target process is clear, a plan can be built around it.
The plan sets out what should change, in what order, and what it depends on — including the cases where AI is not the right answer for that process.
A practical plan sets out:
- Which process to start with, and why.
- What the AI needs to do — and what it should not be trusted to do.
- What data or systems it depends on, and whether they are ready.
- Who inside the business will own the result once it is live.
- How success will be measured, against where the business started.
A plan without an owner or a measure is not a plan. It is a hope.

Implement
Recommendations do not improve a business. Changes that people actually use do.
We stay involved while the change is built, tested and introduced into everyday work — not handed over as a report and left to be adopted by magic.
That includes:
- Building or configuring the specific solution.
- Testing it against real work, not a demonstration.
- Explaining what it does, and when a person should override it.
- Handing over ownership once it is genuinely part of normal practice.
The aim is AI that is still being used in six months, not a pilot that quietly stops.
Why AI implementation so often doesn’t stick
Across many businesses, the same patterns show up when AI is introduced by a third party:
- The starting point is a general ambition to "use AI", not a specific process.
- The solution is designed around the official process, not the exceptions that actually keep the work running.
- A tool gets chosen before the problem is fully understood.
- Adoption is treated as automatic once something has been built.
- No one inside the business is clearly responsible for the outcome once the vendor leaves.
- Success was never defined clearly enough to know whether it actually worked.
AI Integration Services is built specifically to avoid these patterns — starting with the process, naming an owner, and staying involved until the change is normal practice.
AI can apply to almost any process — these are common starting points
Because the approach starts with the process rather than the technology, AI Integration Services is not limited to one function. In an operational business, common starting points include:
- Quoting, estimating and pricing.
- Production scheduling, quality data and reporting.
- Customer communication and enquiry handling.
- Inventory, demand and purchasing decisions.
- Management information and board-level reporting.
- Reviewing, classifying or surfacing information buried in existing systems.
The right starting point depends on where the process is actually losing time, money or opportunity — not on which of these is easiest to demonstrate.
Built for the same businesses as Fractional CTO Services
AI Integration Services is designed for the same UK operational businesses as Curavest’s fractional CTO service — typically £5m–£10m turnover, in sectors such as manufacturing, construction supply, fire safety, tool and fixings supply, and outsourced product development. It can run as a standalone engagement, or alongside a fractional CTO engagement where AI is one part of a wider set of changes.
Relationship to other Curavest services
AI Integration Services is distinct from Sysgraft, Curavest’s AI-integration product for wholesale and distribution businesses. Sysgraft is a specific product built for one sector and one use — reviewing customer interactions. AI Integration Services is broader: it applies to any process, in any of the sectors Curavest works with. Depending on your situation, we may recommend:
- AI Integration Services as the primary engagement.
- A part of a wider fractional CTO engagement.
- Sysgraft, where the need matches its specific product for wholesale and distribution.

Questions owners ask about AI integration
Where do you start with AI in an operational business?
With one specific process, not a general ambition to use AI. We trace how the work actually happens, including the workarounds nobody wrote down, and identify where AI would make a measurable difference. The output is a specific target and a practical plan, including the cases where AI is not the right answer.
Is Curavest an AI consultancy?
No. Curavest is a provider of several complementary services for operational businesses, including fractional CTO support, AI Integration Services and AI-integration products such as Sysgraft. AI is one tool that may be used to improve a process, review information, automate suitable work or identify a customer need. Even within AI Integration Services, AI is not automatically recommended for every process — it is applied only where it earns its place, and it is not the identity of the company.
Do you sell software?
Curavest does not sell software as the default solution. Software, automation or AI may be recommended when they solve a clearly identified problem. If the real issue is process design, ownership or communication, the recommendation will address that instead.
How do you measure success?
Success is measured against the business problem. Depending on the engagement, this may include faster turnaround, increased production, reduced rework, improved quality, more reliable delivery, greater capacity, clearer reporting or revenue from a new service. The important point is that the change should produce a visible improvement in how the business operates.

Not sure where AI would actually help?
Start with the process, not the technology. We can identify whether AI Integration Services, the fractional CTO service or a combination is the right fit.
